We have explored coves on different sides of Roque island, all lovely and very few people anywhere. While in shore, a young hiker came by. She told us that she was almost back home after hiking 21 miles around the circumference of the island. She is a member of the original family who settled on Roque and are now the caretakers of the island, with a small  farm and desalination pump, mostly solar powered, which they use for all their plantings, cows and goats. Meanwhile, I got a call about my little house in Nashville that there is an urgent major maintenance problem again, not what I need at the moment.
