Sailing to Pocasset

Day 9 Pocasset & Meet Up

We bid adeau to David at Little Harbor where we borrowed a pair of folding bicycles from his neighbor. We set sail to Pocasset with a breif stop to say hello to John and Mary. John had rowed over when we were moored there to give us some advice on our motor issues, and it […]

Day 8 Pop-up House Concert 7-28-24

With only a 36 hour notice, David and Paula brought in a surprisingly full turnout for their pop-up house in Woods Hole.  I played my Emerald harp guitar and Pepe Romero little mango travel guitar to an enthusiastic audience. Bryan sang with me on Favorable Winds and played some supertreble notes. Thank you David and […]

Day 7 Composing in the garden

Still on land, as Bryan is getting electrical repairs done on the boat, etc. He’s been getting up early for the Breakfast Club of interesting people who meet in Woods Hole. David sent invitations for the house concert we decided to do, and I got acquainted with my new Pepe Romero Jr little mango travel […]

After replacing the starter, the boat fired up for us to move to a mooring where we can row to a dock within a 20 minute walk of David and Paula’s house. However, when Bryan tried to start the motor again… only clicks. It turns out the starter was not the only gremlin, and Boatworx […]

Trouble at Hadley's Harbor

Day 4 Trouble in Hadley’s Harbor Paradise

We arrived from Cuttyhunk to my favorite lovely harbor, Hadley’s Harbor, MA while the rain was holding off in the morning. The refrigerator isn’t charging when the motor was off, and a couple other electrical anomalies. When Bryan went to start the motor again, just clicks and no Vroom. Bryan spent much of the day […]

Cuttyhunk

Day 3 Cuttyhunk

We arrived at Cuttyhunk in the company of some schooners in the mist. Bryan was happy to see the rawbar boat coming around and splurged on a dozen oysters served on paper plates. The rain held off and I got enough cell phone signal to do my Monday Live from the boat cockpit.

Day 2 Evening at Block Island

We arrived at Block Island in time for a pesto dinner made from the basil from our garden, and to hear the chorus of ship horns and conch shells blown at the moment the sun touches the horizon. Then a full moon joined the mast lights for a calm night at harbor.
