Carole’s Wood Oven Pizza Crust

Somehow, I’ve never got pizza crust down, and I appreciate visiting friends who do!  This is from Carole Hibbeln in Silver Spring, MD


  • 4 cups of flour
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tsp of sugar
  • 1 packet of yeast
  • 4 tbsp of parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp of olive oil


  1. ingredients in bread maker or mix all together and let rise until doubled. Bread machine manual setting or mix/raise for 1 hr.
  2. On floured board, spread or roll out thin. Place on oiled pan or pizza stone. When dough is gooier, it is harder to work with, but comes out crisper.
  3. Add cheese and cook another 4-5 min.

Makes 5-6 individual pizzas.
