Day 14 Three Anchorages and Two Lobsters

The morning brought a lobster boat pulling traps. I motioned for him to come over and asked if we could buy 2 lobsters from him. He said, Ok, “How about $15.” I gave him $20 plus a Sailing Dreams CD for our first lobster dinner onboard in Maine. After one last search for the AWOL drone, we headed to the one village on the island where there is a small store and a post office about the size of my car. The store let us use their internet so I could teach my online guitar class. I stopped at another little shop and asked where to refill our water jugs. The lady said, “that’s going to be heavy to carry 3 jugs from the ranger station, take my car, it’s parked right out front. Brakes are soft but it works.” It was the perfect island car, dusty full of gravel and the front axle made a sound not unlike an unhappy cat, but it was very helpful in getting our water before sailing to anchor by little Pell Island, far from anyone, to enjoy the view and cook our lobster dinner.
