Day 45 Dolphin Marina and Periwinkles

Bryan had met a fellow sailor, Dennis, who was in between residences, and invited him onboard for a beer. I played a private concert for him, and he seemed very touched. We then took off to find internet signal to teach my online class and do my Monday Live. We pulled into Dolphin Marina, which was packed with people celebrating Labor Day. Bryan rowed me to the dock, I put my computer on a picnic table and logged into their internet to teach my class. It wasn’t a strong enough signal to do a livestream in the evening but enough to load a prerecorded “Monday Live“ to keep my record of every week since 2020. It takes a lot of time and effort to do these, especially while on the road. Our friend John recommended to do a pay per view, but I am still undecided.
We left the busy harbor to find a small body of water formed by two narrow islands, Bates and Ministerial. The sedimentary shale on the hillsides falling to the shore made interesting designs in shades of orange and gray. At low tide I walked from one island to the other across a sandbar that emerged, made up largely of thousands of perriwinkle shells.
